The Question: from Jerzy B. on 2/16/2008 12:23:10 PM		Tamron 55-200 lens Do you know how the Sony version of the 55-200 mm lens performs compared to the Tamron lens? Although the Sony version weighs the same, it has a 55mm filter diameter and the front element doesn't rotate. They both have plastic lens mounts. The Sony has one ED lens element. I don't know about the Tammy version. What else is different? I'd rather buy the Sony for quality and resale value. I like the range and F4 characteristics. I'd like a 70-200 2.8 better, but I can't afford the cost.
